The heart of our cart

Stork coffee was created by Georgia and Vicky, two friends who love amazing coffee, delicious baked goods and community. We met each other working festivals delivering coffee to the masses and since then it's been a one shared dream. Stork. A welcoming place to grab great coffee, a bite to eat and make a connection. Â With plenty of experience across hospitality, events and marketing we want to build Stork with a simple aim, serve coffee and support our local community.

She may have been a bit unconventional but we knew with a makeover this trailer would be perfect.
Having an existential crisis trying to work out how to make sure she was structurally sound.
Discovering the world of timber yards while being told horror stories of losing fingers by employees.
We spend hours upon hours measuring, doing maths (not our strong point) and staring into space before we even began.Â
We put so much love and energy into building stork to be the coffer cart we envisioned, it was a very trust the process moment...

Georgia looking the part.
We saw every detail come together, the hard work was definitely paying off as we saw stork
taking shape....it was time to tow her back to sussex.
There were plenty of moments where we questioned what we were doing, but somehow each small step brought us closer to the vision.

Learning how to clad was interesting then very quickly repetitive.

Getting that beautiful STORK blue stain on really helped with the visuals of the final cart.
That didn't go well.
We broke down.
At night, on a narrow country road after 5 miles.Â
With cows for company we sat roadside in my new car unable to even put the heating on. After Greenflag arrived we took STORK back that 5 miles and hopped in Georgia's faithful rusty and began the slow journey home STORK-less.Â
We got home at 4am.

So we tried again once Mable Mazda was fixed and success. STORK was home!
Now it was time to turn her into the perfect cart inside and out
We got to work.

We prayed to the Coffee Gods...
The final pushÂ
She was really coming together and Vicky's parents graciously let us work on her at their house...Thanks Mum and Dad !

Fixed the leaks...

And installed a coffee machine!
We poured so much time and energy into Stork. We made mistakes, learnt countless lessons and faced more than our fair share of setbacks. Leaks, breakdowns, unreliable tradesmen, a coffee machine that refused to cooperate, and a multitude of other challenges tested us along the way. Yet through it all, we never fought or bickered once. We just kept going, supporting each other and finding a way forward together.
